Playa de Amadores, created with crushed coral sand dredged from the south coast, is the third artificial beach on the island. It is also the answer to the overcrowded Puerto Rico beach. The view from the concrete path of people lying down or playing by the beach like confetti on the floor is splendid, while the natural beauty of the cliffs and blue waters harmoniously co-existing with the man-made cove and palatial hotels is simply awe-inspiring. This extensive bay, well-protected from the ocean, boasts an metre stretch of golden sand and crystal-clear waters.

Ball games and listening to loud music are not allowed and although the vibe is quiet, families spend time here as the sand provides perfect conditions for small children to run around and play safely. Refreshing drinks, tapas and succulent seafood are on offer from a good assortment of bars and restaurants situated directly behind the beach.
