He was killing it way back. I have an affinity with him but I never really noticed the reggae influence in this too much, which is odd because I'm pretty heavy into reggae, so thank you. By the way I think the lyrics are a little off. Artists - J. Rate These Lyrics. Why not add your own? Log in to add a tag. Vivre La Buckley! Buckley's version, especially the live version here on YT, still retains a lot of Kelly's ethereal quality.

Jeff was in a band with Shinehead, so I love his cover because it reminds me of the NYC music scene of the early 90s. But, it also makes me smile to see how the music of my homeland has reached out and touched the world. I just saw you perform outside of Shakespeare and Co, man that was a good show.

We were really lucky to have you. Wow man this really you? Amazing work and must have been an experience recording with Jeff. I never knew the Jeff I know and love from Sin-e and Grace could submerge his voice into reggae. I must check out some more of your work too, good sir.

I too used to have it but lost it when we moved house : I can't find their version of Mojo Pin anywhere either How can this be a Jeff Buckley penned song when Pat Kelley recorded it in ?

The late great and now I'll have to check out this acclaimed Gary Lucas. Theres a video of them doing a lot of these songs live and Jeff dosent have a guitar through any of it and Gary uses his loop.

So i believe its just Gary here. OK, me again. Within minutes I need to leave you with a question. All the lyrics sites attribute the lyrics to Jeff Buckley who was born 17th Nov and I bought my Pat Kelley album on 25th August JB may be a good lyricist, but that good for a 4yr 9 month old? Well I am absolutely gobsmacked.

I first came across this song in when Pat Kelley, one of Jamaica's finest reggae singers recorded it. Pat sang it beautifully and recently it was on my mind so I dug up the vinyl for a quick reminder. I could never quite make out the lyrics so went to a lyrics site for help and lo and behold that's when I discovered it was written by Jeff Buckley.

So here I am and am absolutely enthralled by this recording. What a beautiful song. I got a hold of this years ago and it still gives me chills.

Thank you for taking the time to post.
